Crafted from high-quality marine ply - this beehive lid boasts a robust galvanized cover offering protection from the elements.

The flat-packed beehive supers are ingeniously designed with dovetail joints, enabling effortless and sturdy assembly. There are pre-drilled guide holes and 40mm stainless screws are also provided.

Ventilated bottom boards help manage Varroa mites by allowing naturally fallen mites to exit the hive, reducing reattachment. Although this doesn’t directly treat mites, it can lower mite stress on the hive, especially during times when treatments aren’t feasible, like long honey flows. Studies suggest that using vented boards between treatments can cut Varroa mite levels by up to a third. While this supports hive health, it’s not a replacement for regular, effective treatments. Monitoring and appropriate treatment remain essential.
