This 10 Frame Gabled Pine Telescopic Lid has a heavy duty design and will help keep your hive cool in summer and dry in winter.  The lid is constructed in full pine and comes with a hive mat/inner cover that you may optionally use.

It has a greater space between the hive and the roof, giving air a place to go, then escape though the vents - a draft is created though the hive (assuming you are using a mesh base) to keep your hive thriving and healthy.
